    4B Unit 9 Day and Night

    【教学内容】

     本课时教学内容为北师大版先锋英语四年级下册第28页的频率副词和第30页的对话。教材将五个频率副词一起呈现,有的比较明确,有的界限比较模糊,用法并不十分确定,会给学生的理解带来一定的困难。对话部分提供了一个连续的对话,采用问答的形式呈现了本单元的主要句型。

    【教学目标】

    知识与能力

    1. 理解频率副词always, usually, often, sometimes, never的基本功能与用法,并能正确地运用。
    2. 掌握并运用句型:“When do you…?”“I always … at…”就时间问题进行问答。
    3. 拓展知识目标:能够使用第三人称单数介绍他人的时间安排。

    过程与方法

    1. 通过韵文、瞬时记忆小游戏、复述故事等形式唤起学生原有知识。

    2. 通过学生两两对话练习进行情境交际,提高学生实际运用语言的能力。

       3. 通过拓展听读网络阅读资源,丰富学生的语言知识和阅读面,提高学生在不同情境下对语言的理解能力。

    情感与态度

         养成做事有计划,珍惜时间的好习惯。

    【教学重点】

    1. 正确理解并使用频率副词:always, usually, often, sometimes, never

    2. 掌握并运用句型:“When do you…?”“I always … at…”就时间问题进行问答。

    【教学难点】

    1. 灵活地将频率副词使用在实际的语言交际中。
    2. 运用第三人称单数表述他人的时间安排。

       讲授法、演示法、讨论法、示范模仿法

    教学过程】

    • 复习导入
    1. Say a chant: What time is it?
    2. Memory game: remember the sentences shown on ppt as quickly as possible.
    3. Review the story: fill in the blanks.

    二、新知呈现

    1. 出示表格,讲授频率副词always, usually, often, sometimes, never.

    always: How many apples can you see? (seven) I eat an apple from Monday to Sunday. I eat an apple every day. So I can say I always eat an apple.

    usually: I read books on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but I don’t read books on Tuesday and Friday. So I should say, I usually read books.

    often: I watch TV on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Only three days in a week, so I often watch TV.

         sometimes: I play only play table tennis on Wednesday and Friday, so I sometimes play table tennis.

          never: Boys like football very much, but I don’t play football. I don’t play it on any days of the week. So I never play football.

     

    设计意图:对于学生不易理解的语法知识,借助ppt课件用图片和表格的形式更直观地将语言的使用规律展现给学生,一目了然。既避免了生硬的讲解语法,又较好地突破了本课时的重难点。

    三、对话学习(Talk togther)

      1. Show the students the picture of this part and tell them they are going to listen a dialong about Cathy. Then try to answer the following questions.

        a. When does Cathy get up?

        b. Does she sleep in class?

      2. Listen to the dialog by themselves

      3. Check the answer together.

      4. Show and teacher the key structure of this lesson

        T: So, from the dialog, we see when we ask about time, we should ask, ‘When do you …?’(边说边板书)And the answer should be, ‘I always/ usually….at…’(板书让学生再次明确频率副词在句子当中的正确位置)

      5. Pair work: make up new dialogs according their own timetables

    A: When do you usually …?

    B: I always/sometimes….at….

    四、拓展听读(学生自主听读网络资源)

       1. Read a passage about Amy and judge the sentences below

         a. Amy gets up late.

         b. She goes to school at 7:30.

         c. She plays the piano at 5:00

       2. Read a dialog about Shalin and finish the following timetable

         Ask some students to describe the timetable

    设计意图:在学生理解了新的语言知识,并进行了相应的机械训练后,利用丰富的网络资源,为学生选择与所学知识相关的拓展听读材料,一段对话和一篇短文。让学生能够在不同的语境下更全面、深刻地体会语言的用法。与此同时,为最后的综合语言输出提供更丰富的素材和范本。

     

    五、综合输出(任务型输出)

    1. Tell them they are going to make a survey by using the key words and structures learnt in this lesson.

    T:Now, it’s your turn. You will make a survey. You should ask about your friend’s timetable. Then finish the following form.

    设计意图:在本环节中,让学生使用今天所学的频率副词和询问时间的句型进行一个小调查,从而考查学生综合运用所学语言知识的能力。在活动前,通过使用数字展台展示调查的基本过程和表格的填写方法,为学生提供了清晰的示范。

    六、布置作业 (二选一)

    1. 根据课上的调查编写一个对话(包括5组问答)

    2. 根据调查结果描述朋友一天的基本时间安排。
