一、教材分析
本课时是人教版五年级下册第五单元第三课时。围绕“小动物在干什么”这一话题展开,主要通过对话学习六个动词的现在分词climbing, eating, playing, jumping, drinking, sleeping以及能够在语境中正确的使用。引导学生产生热爱小动物的美好情感,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,树立学好英语的信心。本课时虽然是新授课,但是四会单词的原形play, eat, sleep, jump, drink都曾经学过,所以学生接受新知会很容易。在设计教学过程时,遵循以学生为主体的原则。采用儿歌、玩游戏等多种教学方法调动全体学生的积极参与,让学生在轻松、快乐的环境下,引导学生自主学习。

二、学习者特征分析
本课的教学对象是五年级学生,经过两年英语学习的经验,他们有着较扎实的听、说、认读、写能力。在以往的学习中,学生已经接触了大量的英语动词单词,并能运用到实际对话中,而且大部分学生已经养成了较好的英语学习习惯。不过仍有个别学生基础薄弱,兴趣渐退,但他们却有着极强的求知欲强和表现欲。针对这些情况,我在本课教学中采取多样的教学方法,注重激发学生学习兴趣。

三、教学目标及拓展目标分析
知识与技能:
1、能够听、说、读、写六个动词现在分词eating, drinking, climbing, sleeping, jumping, playing和词组each other.
2、能够在语境中正确使用上述六个现在的形式。如运用句型“Are these+v.ing”和“...+v.ing”及He’s/They are...表示现在进行时对事件的描述。
3、进一步内化用“...+v.ing”表示现在进行时对事件描述的表达方法。
过程与方法:
通过师生对话,同学交流和自主听读,学生能够体验英语学习,用英语进行交际的过程与方法。
情感态度与价值观
培养孩子关爱动物,热爱动物的情操。

六、教学过程 Step 1创设情景、综合复习

(设计意图:激发学生的兴趣,提高学生的注意力,复习所学的单词,及初步感知新授单词,为新授做铺垫。)
3.Let’s sing 《Animals,animals are everywhere》.
(设计意图:为学生营造轻松愉悦的氛围,自然而然的投入到英语学习当中来,同时为本课的新授内容做铺垫。)

2) Is it .... 学习单词drinking
2、教学 sleeping playing climbing 、each other
1)T: wow there are so many animals? What are they doing?学习单词sleeping 及climbing。重点强调climbing的发音
2)运用句型Are these ..... 学习playing及词组each other
(通过有意义的操练活动记忆单词,滚动旧知引入新单词,同时建立单词间的语音联系鼓励学生,从而更好地帮助学生掌握所学内容)

Animals are friendly. They are our friends. We must protect them.
