近期，他出版了四本著作：《从媒体中学习：观点、分析与证据》（2001，信息时代出版社）；《奖励、动机与工作绩效：研究与最佳实践》（2002，绩效改进国际协会）；《处理学习环境中的复杂问题：研究与理论》（2006, Elsevier）以及《将研究转为成果：选择正确解决绩效方案的指南》（2002, CEP Press），该书获得了绩效改进国际协会的卓越奖。
近年来，他已获得托马斯吉尔伯特的杰出专业成就奖以及ISPI的知识产权领导力的总统表彰、SITE的研究基金会杰出奖，他对绩效资历的研究获得ASTD年度最佳调查奖，他因研究生教学工作获得美国南加州大学的优秀教学奖。
他是美国军队远程学习子委员会的成员，美国心理学会（分支15，教育心理学）的研究员，应用心理学会的研究员以及美国心理社团的创始人之一。
他目前的研究兴趣包括将社会科学研究成果应用于改进人类绩效的实践，培训设计中多媒体的认知负荷理论，面向成人有指导的经验学习培训设计系统的发展以及应用认知任务分析法去分析各领域专家的复杂知识。
