    PEP Grade 3 下册Unit 6 How many?

    Teaching aims: To enrich the language input based on the theme. To introduce the target language in a more meaningful context. To develop the students’ spelling, reading and communicative skills.

    Learning outcome: The students will be able to understand the given reading materials, such as stories and chants, and read them out fluently by using phonics.

    Stage 1.

    Warm-up

    -- Greeting.

    T: Welcome to my English classroom.

    -- Sing a song - Number song.

     

    -- Let’s count!

    --Look at the pictures and count.

    Presentation and drill

    --Introduce five little monkeys and their sitter Lulu.

    T: How many monkeys do you see?

     

    T: Yes. They are …

    --Read the story Five little monkeys play hide-and-seek

    Highlight the key words: eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty.

     

    1. Mum goes out for dancing. Lulu look after the five little monkeys.

     

    2.The five little monkeys play hide-and-seek with Lulu. Lulu counts up to 10.

     

    3. Lulu sees some toes, feet and fingers. She finds all the monkeys.

     

    4. Five little monkeys wants play again. So Lulu counts up to 20.

     

     

    5.And Lulu finds them all fast again.

     

    6. The little monkeys are very sad. So Lulu plays the game for the last time.

     

     

    7. This time Lulu can’t find them anywhere. Where are the five little monkeys?

     

    8. Oh, mum comes home!

     

    9. Ah, they are all on the bed!
