Teaching Procedures

Purpose

Step 1 Lead-in

1 Present some new words by showing some pictures of animals and ask

T: What’s this? Ss:Bamboo

T: How do you spell it? Ss: B-A-M-B-O-O

Step2 Consolidate new words

Play a guessing game. The teacher shows a part of a picture or some sound of an animal and students answer what the animal is as soon as possible.

Step3 Listening

1. Students listen to the dialogue and answer the four questions

2 Listen again and complete the table.

3 Students read the dialouge together

Step4: Oral practice

1 Let students discuss what the animals eat and where it comes from.

Does the bear eat meat? Yes, it does./No, it doesn’t.

2 Do an oral passage: My favourite animal is the... It eats... It comes from…It is....

1 通过图片，学习12个新单词，让学生对动物有直观的认识。

2 通过听课文回答有关动物食物问题，复习句型Do...?Yes, they do./No, they don’t. 填写单词，考察对动物食物的理解。

3口语练习主要加强练习句型Does...?以及回答Yes, it does./No, it doesn’t.并且会用It eats.. 等句型来简单介绍动物。
