教材解读:
本节课为新版北京版教材五年级下册第五单元的第十六课。本单元内容围绕谈论自己或他人的家人展开,涉及家庭中的各种人物关系,是一个与学生生活密切相关的单元。在本单元三个课时中分别呈现了用于介绍亲人年龄的日常交际用语,询问他人的日常用语以及用于询问做事频率的交际用语。

学习目标:
一、知识技能目标
1. 能理解、应用单词niece, daughter, nephew, baby;
2. 能听懂、会说句型Who's that baby boy? He's Jack, my nephew.
二、语言技能目标
1. 能正确朗读课文;
2. 能在实际情景中运用Who's that baby boy? He's Jack, my nephew.进行会话交流;
3. 通过信息差(information gap)活动,让学生在设置的情景中运用功能句型,最后以自己的语言进行总结汇报。
三、情感态度目标
培养学生热爱生活,关爱家人的积极情感与价值观。

Step 1. Review
Talk about Tom's family.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Look and guess: Who are they talking about?
2. Watch the video and answer.
Q: Who are they?
3. Show the family tree to illstrate "nephew" and "niece"
4. Recall and answer.
Q: Does Yangyang like Jack? Why do you think so?
5. Read the story.
6. Play the story.
7. Get information.
Furture question: His aunt's daughter will have a baby soon.
If the baby is a boy, so he is Yangyang's...?
If the baby is a girl, so he is Yangyang's...?
Step 3. Practice
1. T: Sara shows more photos to Yangyang, and she introduces them to Yangyang.
Pairwork: Who's ...?

2. Introduce your family according to the framework.
