本节课为新版北京版教材五年级下册第五单元的第十六课。本单元内容围绕谈论自己或他人的家人展开，涉及家庭中的各种人物关系，是一个与学生生活密切相关的单元。在本单元三个课时中分别呈现了用于介绍亲人年龄的日常交际用语，询问他人的日常用语以及用于询问做事频率的交际用语。

一、知识技能目标

1. 能理解、应用单词niece, daughter, nephew, baby;

2. 能听懂、会说句型Who's that baby boy? He's Jack, my nephew.

二、语言技能目标

1. 能正确朗读课文；

2. 能在实际情景中运用Who's that baby boy? He's Jack, my nephew.进行会话交流；

3. 通过信息差（information gap）活动，让学生在设置的情景中运用功能句型，最后以自己的语言进行总结汇报。

三、情感态度目标

 培养学生热爱生活，关爱家人的积极情感与价值观。

Step 1. Review

Talk about Tom's family.

Step 2. Presentation

1. Look and guess: Who are they talking about?

2. Watch the video and answer.

   Q: Who are they?

3. Show the family tree to illstrate "nephew" and "niece"

4. Recall and answer.

Q: Does Yangyang like Jack? Why do you think so?

5. Read the story.

6. Play the story.

7. Get information.

Furture question: His aunt's daughter will have a baby soon.

If the baby is a boy, so he is Yangyang's...?

If the baby is a girl, so he is Yangyang's...?

Step 3. Practice

1. T: Sara shows more photos to Yangyang, and she introduces them to Yangyang.

       Pairwork: Who's ...?

2. Introduce your family according to the framework.
