    I .Context: the simple past tense

    II. Objectives:

    • To learn the structure of the simple past tense.

    • To distinguish the simple past tense and the simple present tense.

    • To enjoy talking about the past.

    III. Difficulties:

    1To sum up the structure of the simple past tense.

    2. To use correct form of the simple past tense.

    IV. Teaching procedure:

        1. Target and free talk about the past forms.

        2. Pre-task: (be动词和行为动词)

    • What day is today? What’s the date today?

    What day was yesterday? What was the date today?

    I usually do some reading. I did my homework yesterday.

    • chant.

    3. While-task:

    Compare (the simple present tense) & (the simple past tense).

    • the adverbial phases of time.

    • the forms of the verbs in past tense(take notes).

    • the pronunciation of the verbs in past tense(take notes).

    • exercise 1.

    4. Post-task:

    • Talk about the school play in 2012.

    • Review the structure of the simple past tense .

    • ask and answer.

    • fill in the blanks --exercise 2.

    • What did I do in the play-- exercise 3.

    5. Homework

    1) To review the simple past tense.

    2) Finish the exercise paper.

    3) Talk about the school play.
