I .Context: the simple past tense
II. Objectives:
To learn the structure of the simple past tense.
To distinguish the simple past tense and the simple present tense.
To enjoy talking about the past.
III. Difficulties:
1.To sum up the structure of the simple past tense.
2. To use correct form of the simple past tense.
IV. Teaching procedure:
Target and free talk about the past forms.
Pre-task: (be动词和行为动词)
What day is today? What’s the date today?
What day was yesterday? What was the date today?
I usually do some reading. I did my homework yesterday.

3. While-task:
Compare (the simple present tense) & (the simple past tense).
the adverbial phases of time.
the forms of the verbs in past tense(take notes).
the pronunciation of the verbs in past tense(take notes).

4. Post-task:
Talk about the school play in 2012.
Review the structure of the simple past tense .
ask and answer.
fill in the blanks --exercise 2.

5. Homework
1) To review the simple past tense.
