    A.Warm-up &Revision

    Ask the pupils to look at the pictures of different months and divide the months into four seasons.

    B.Presentation and practice

      Leading-in: Show a picture of a date, ask the pupils: What’s the date? What festival is it? What do you do at Christmas?

    1.Ask the pupils to watch a flash about Christmas. Ask some pupil who have previewed the lesson to read the word card: Christmas , get presents. Ask the pupils to read after the teacher. The teacher introduces the background. And ask what do you do at..?

    2.Ask the pupils to watch a flash about Chinese New Year. Ask some pupil who have previewed the lesson to read the word card: Chinese New Year , get  lucky money. Ask the pupils to read together. The teacher introduces the background. And ask When’s …? What do you do at..?

    3.Ask the pupils to watch a flash about Easter. Ask some able pupils to read the word cards: Easter, eat chocolate eggs. Make dialogues between groups. The teacher introduces the background.

    4.Ask the pupils to watch a flash about the Dragon Boat Festival. Ask some able pupils to read the word cards: the Dragon Boat Festival , watch boat races. Make dialogues between boys and girls. The teacher introduces the background.

    5.Ask the pupils to watch a flash about Halloween. Ask some able pupils to read the word cards: Halloween, go ‘trick or treat’. Ask the pupils to read and do after the teacher. Ask the pupils to read and do after the teacher. The teacher introduces the background.

    6.Play the Flash of Part A.

    7.Act out the text in pairs.

    C.Consolidation: Play a guessing game to practice new words and expressions.

    (1) Read some words and watch the video then guess.

    (2) Pupils make their own riddles.
