在上学期Unit3学生学习了一些动物的英文表达，和句子Look at me! What’s this/that? It’s a...A funny ....学生对高矮肥瘦的概念比较熟悉，并且本单元第一课时Let’s talk部分，学生已经初步学习了句子Look at that giraffe. It’s so tall.和单词short fat tall，这为本课学习奠定了基础，降低了难度。我的学生喜欢歌曲、游戏，对画画也很感兴趣。

知识目标：

1.学生能够听、说、认读：thin fat tall和short四个单词；

2.学生能够听懂、会说句型Look at that ...！It’s ...

能力目标：

1.学生能够在图片、实物或情境的帮助下，运用句型Look at that ...！It’s ...描述动物的外形特点。

2.学生能够听懂、会说Let’s do的指令，并做出相应动作。

情感目标：

学生能够保持学习英语的兴趣。

教学重点：

1. 学习Let’s learn单词：thin fat tall和short
2. 学习句型Look at that ...！It’s ...

教学难点：

1. thin中th的发音学生较难掌握。

Step1：创设情境，综合复习

1.Today，let’s go to the zoo.

师生师范： A: What’s this? A bear?

           B: No,it’s a panda. It’s a funny panda.

           A: Look at the tiger.

           B: Cool! I like it.

1. Pair-work

[设计意图]复习旧知，激活Look at the...和It’s...句型。创设情境，激发学生兴趣。

Step2：听读新知，初步感知。

1. 教学tall：

(课件出示一只长颈鹿。)Look! What’s this? It’s a giraffe.(课件再出示一只长颈鹿。)How many giraffes？Two. Look at this giraffe. It’s so tall.(做出tall的动作)做动作be tall

[设计意图]渗透Let’s do的句子，为Let’s do的输出降低难度。

1. 教学short：

Look at that giraffe. It’s not tall. It’s short.(做出short的动作)做动作be short

[设计意图]通过对比，让学生更形象的体会tall和short的意思。

1. 教学fat：

   (课件再出示两只猴子。)Look！Monkeys. Look at that monkey. It’s so fat. 做动作be fat

1. 教学thin：

 Look at this monkey. It’s thin.简笔画强调th发音的口型。做动作be thin

[设计意图]通过简笔画，让学生更形象的体会th发音的口型，从而降低难度。

Step3：情景交际，巩固新知

1. Let’s do

[设计意图]通过TPR活动，在巩固新授单词的同时，使学生在一段时间的学习活动后，得到放松。

1. Draw an animal and talk about the animal.

T:Look at the pig.

S1:It’s fat.

T:Look at the monkey.

S1:It’s thin.

[设计意图]学生画图并谈论图片，迎合学生爱好，为两两对话提供情境和素材。

2.叫几个身高体型不同的学生，进行外貌描述来进一步掌握本课重点词汇。

Step4：拓展听读，整体感知

1.  All the animals want to be your friend. Listen.

1. My friend Kelly has a big bear,too. Look!

拓展二：动画《Magic mirror》

3. Kelly will come to the party, too. She will tell stories in the party.
