【教学内容分析】
本单元的教学内容主要是学习一些节日和节日进行的活动,主要词汇是:Easter / eat chocolate eggs, the Dragon Boat Festival / watch boat races, ,Christmas / get presents , Chinese New Year / get lucky money,Halloween / go “trick or treat” ,wear costumes, get lots of sweets, knock on their neighours’doors, play trick, jack-o’-lantern, a special lantern, make from a pumpkin.主要句型结构为 When’s …? It’s in… What do you do at …? I …at …. Which is your favourite festival ? I like… Why do you like it ? Because I can…at…
本节课的教学内容为本单元第4节课。学习内容为PartC—Holloween. 主要是了解这个节日的习俗和活动。

【学生分析】
四年级本班学生学习基础比较好,很多学生对英语学习有一定的兴趣。在Book7 Unit2里页学习了几个基本的holidays,例如Christmas Day, National Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day.让学生对节日的学习有了一定的基础,再加上节日这个话题是学生们在日常生活中比较熟悉的,万圣节虽然是西方的节日,但是随着中西方文化渗透,现在特别是城市里也可以看见人们在不断创造万圣节的节日氛围,所以本课的教学内容对学生来说并不难。为了提高学生学习的积极性和挑战性,我增加了几篇关于其它节日的拓展阅读材料,并让学生在听读了解节日的基础上,基本上能用自己的话来谈论自己熟悉的中国传统节日和自己最喜欢的西方节日。

一、Greeting and Warming up.
1. T: Hello,everyone.

2. T: Good, you know many festivals. Now,let’s play
a guseeing game, you tell me what festival is it? (通过不同方式让学生来猜出3个节日,第3个节日为Halloween,引出课题.)
二、Let’s learn.
1. 教师板书课题:Halloween.

3. 听读课文,回答问题:

4. 自学课文。PPT 出示具体的自学指导。
