课程说明

一、教学内容分析：

第五单元以谈论各种动物为话题。课文中主要介绍了动物的名称、描述各种动物的形容词以及大象处于濒危状态的继续。本节课是以教材为核心，补充的主题阅读中关于动物多样性的泛读课。阅读素材都是来自课本外，补充的文章主要有以下几个特点：一是阅读的四篇文章的动物属于不同的种类，但他们是分别是濒危动物；二是四篇文章语言简练，都涉及了动物的外貌，食物，栖息地等方面知识；三是文章趣味性强，能够充分激发和拓展学生关于动物方面的知识，从而激发学生的阅读兴趣，引导学生进入丰富多彩的动物世界。学生在与文本互动过程中思维开阔，在语言能力发展的同时积极与文本互动、获取语言理解和表达的新经验，深入理解动物的多样性。

二、学情分析：

我所教的学生英语程度中等偏上，学习热情高。在本单元第一二课时已经学过一些关于动物的名称的名词及描述动物特性的形容词，第三课时学习了关于学生倡议保护泰国大象的文段，但是由于学生在小学已经接触过大部分本单元出现的动物，单纯教授课本知识会让学生有枯燥的感觉，所以我给学生有计划地拓展动物的相关知识，本节课是本单元的第四课时，有承上启下的功能。在本节课所学知识可以为第五节写作课做铺垫，让学生更加广泛地了解动物，给学生英语的表达补充内容。之后教师引导学生利用概念图总结这类描写动物的文章应该怎样写，然后利用学习元现场让学生写作、呈现、再交流写作文章。
