1. Learn to ask and answer questions about where things are.

2. Learn the names of some furniture and some personal things of students.

3. Grasp the prepositions: on, under, in( in front of, behind, near, next to, between)

4. Learn to describe the bedroom.

• New words: table, bed, dresser, bookcase, sofa, chair, schoolbag, books, keys, baseball, drawer, plant, on, in, under.

• — Where’s the backpack?

— It’s under the table.

• — Where are the keys?

— They’re in the drawer.

• where’s ＝ where is It’s ＝ It is They’re ＝ They are

1. 方位介词的使用。

2. 名词单复数的使用和人称代词与谓语动词的一致原则。

本班学生刚上初一英语基础较弱，大部分学生不敢上课说英语。因此老师需要设计大量的口语操练来训练学生的口语。同时，单词拼写方面学生也很弱，所以需要交学生如何简化地记好听力笔记。经过一个月的磨合，大部分学生已经有了明显的进步，尤其在开口说英语方面，尤其在引进了盒子鱼英语后，学生朗读英语的热情空前高涨，学生通过模仿朗读能够挣到很多金币和排行，很大程度上激发了学生学习英语的热情。

直观教学法、模仿示范法、情景教学和小组学习法

课前预习、课堂内外练习、听说结合训练。

Warming-up：

Watch a video to lead in the class.

Guessing Game：

T use some sentences to give Ss some clues to guess the word.

Purpose:

To help the Ss understand the new words and improve reading.

T use some pictures to help Ss understand the sentence structures.

Purpose:

To practice grammar points in this unit.

T tries to teach Ss some skills about taking notes while listening.

Purpose:

Help Ss to improve their listening ability

T uses the app named boxfish English to help Ss understand the listening better and try to help the Ss to learn English in real situations.

Step Five: Oral composition: My school

Let Ss study in group to describe their school campus.

Purpose: Ss can use the target language in real situation.

1. Listen and write down the things Ss hear and the places where those things are. (Textbook activities )

2. Check the answers in pair to practice the target languages

3. Listen for the last time and repeat.

Practice the conversations with a picture or your own things.

Describe the school campus

1. Complete the composition about describing the school campus using the sentences and words in class.

2. Practice this unit in boxfish English.
